Florene is one of Haiti Babi’s first employees. Florene is kind and soft-spoken. She’s a hard-worker and very focused. Florene and her family live in a small rural community and every morning she travels two hours by Tap-Tap to get to work.

Since working for Haiti Babi Florene has been able to complete the home she and her husband have been building since 1999. It is common in Haiti for homes to be built over many years, as money allows. This year, Florene purchased a roof for her family home.

In July, Florene had a new baby girl, Esther. Florene is the second mom to have a baby while working for Haiti Babi. All of the Haiti Babi moms receive three months of paid maternity leave and are able to bring their babies to work for the first year.
